Pioneer weekend away

Over 40 church friends had a weekend of refreshing (body, soul & spirit!) at the Canadian lodge-themed Pioneer Centre, Cleobury Mortimer, in the rolling Shropshire hills. On offer was full board comfort, games, teaching and precious time with each other and with God. The bedrooms were cosy 2 or 4 bedded with en-suite bathroom, and tea & coffee making facilities were everywhere. Andrew Cowley, our inter-regnum moderator, and our own Paul Goodliffe, ran the teaching sessions, while Michelle Myers and crew occupied the children. We burned off the calories with walks, basketball, archery and an inflatable assault course. More leisurely pursuits included a quiz (needless to say, won by Chris Curtis' team!) and a sing around the camp fire. Everyone enjoyed it so much we have already booked next year's for the weekend of 1st October 2010.
