About Us

OBF was founded in December 1992 by a small group of Christians who had been attending Kidlington Baptist Church, seeking to expand the Christian witness in Bicester and the surrounding area where they were living.

The church called its first minister in December 1994, and since then it has grown both in numbers and in spiritual maturity.

OBF is committed to working with other churches wherever possible and in Bicester partners with 7 other churches, representing Catholic, Anglican, Methodist, Pentecostal, Salvationist and Independent Charismatic traditions.

OBF is in a small cluster group with Baptist churches in Charlton-on-Otmoor, Charlbury, Chipping Norton, Kidlington and Woodstock. We work closely with other churches in town.
